Victoria's Beauty Salon has been in business for 15+ years. I've built this business up from absolutely nothing. When I first signed the lease for my Salon it was an apartment with run down carpets with weird smells and stains, and the windows were falling apart. The place felt dead. I started my business with $3000 to my name. I was a single mother to 6 kids and we decided to go for it. With my blood, sweat, and tears and my children by my side we tore up the floor, and put new flooring, took down unnecessary walls, painted the interior, and installed new windows. We did it all ourselves, and at the time my youngest was still an infant. But we made it happen. With the $3000 I started my own business that I am very proud of.
I'm proud of my business because of the community I live in. I've worked extremely hard to build my clientele and that's why every year I give back to the community with our free home cook meals on certain holiday's like Easter or Christmas and organizing events to donate the profits to those in need. We here at Victoria's Beauty Salon love what we do for those in need. It bring a special feeling to our hearts. Especially feeding those in need. I want to continue to help my community in ways that I can but now I need to ask for help.
My business is now closed because of the covid-19 pandemic. We closed our doors on March 17, 2020 and now with no date to reopen our doors I might have to close them forever. It pains me that this might happen but I got to try every option there is. I won't give up. I'm reaching out to everyone to ask to save my business! I am several months behind in rent for the salon and that's my main concern but also with me not receiving any assistance like unemployment, stimulus, or PPP loans because I'm self employed I'm also unable to pay absolute any other bill or even put food on the table. I don't want to be another sob story out there trust me but I need to ask for help so I can continue to do what I love to do and so I can continue to give back as well. Im asking for $5000 as a reasonable amount to help as a start to pay just 2 months of rent at the salon. Thank you everyone from the bottom of my heart.
