I'm Victoria Boardman, a former womens soccer player, turned triathlete. I recently qualified for the ITU Age-Group World Championships (to be held Sept 15-20th in Chicago) after only 18 months competing in the sport. 

Following a successful soccer career, I set my sights on representing Team GB in triathlon.
During my brief Triathlon career (10 Sprint distance races) I have finished on the podium (top 3) in every race and my most recent and hard fought finish (at the Eton Sprints in May 2015) saw me qualify to represent Team GB at the ITU World Championships

I feel indescribable pride at the thought of representing my country but with this achievement comes great sacrifice, I train around 3 hours a day in my quest for success, attributing the same importance to nutrition, sleep and recovery as I do to the most punishing training sessions.

My commitment to success is unwavering and I wouldn't trade my career as a full time athlete for any other. Yet this choice comes at great financial cost because in representing Team GB I must fund my hotel, flights, food, bike transportation and all living costs associated with the Chicago race. These expenses are supplementary to covering the cost of full time tri and swim coaches.

I'm now reaching out for the financial assistance necessary for me to fulfill my ambition of representing GB. Any contribution, no matter how small, will make a world of difference to me both from a financial standpoint and as testament to your belief in me.
