8/3/23 UPDATE - I’m sitting at CPMC about to go into surgery for complications from my three surgeries 7/9 & 7/11. One of my procedures was having my lymph nodes removed, and they have been an issue since the removal. I’ve been in more pain than I thought possible. It is nerve pain that shoots from my arm to my toes. I’ve had to go see the surgeon every few days to have 300 cc’s of fluid removed. Today it is infected so it needs to be cleaned out and have a drain put in. In addition, my mom is still at the hospital. She can’t walk or stand on her own. Tomorrow will be the mark of her being hospitalized for four months. On August 16th, I will have to come up with $14,000 to continue her care for one month. I’m so beyond overwhelmed and exhausted. Thank you so much to everyone who has been there for us, please continue to keep us in your thoughts and prayers. And if you are around to take Jackson for a play date, make a dinner, or help with rides, we could really use the help. Thank you! ❤️❤️❤️

Update 6.7.23: Our friend Victoria’s situation has gotten significantly worse over the past few months She could really use her friends + community to rally around her and help in any way!
Approximately 4+ months ago, Victoria was diagnosed with cervical cancer. She had to undergo chemo + radiation, which was very difficult. Shortly after her devastating diagnosis, her mom (whom she lives with, and cares for) had toxic shock syndrome with full organ failure, and was getting Emergency dialysis while being intubated with a 5% chance of living. Her Mom spent forty days in the ICU, 60+ days in the hospital, both bed and wheelchair bound, and is now in a skilled nursing facility. She contacted cdiff and was in isolation for two weeks. Victoria has been by her Mom’s side everyday, while trying to work remotely FROM the skilled nursing facility (to keep money coming in so they can pay their mortgage), and attempting to care for herself through chemo and radiation, and trying to keep life as “normal” as possible for Jackson.
Most recently, Victoria got diagnosed with two skin cancers (in addition to her cervical cancer), “LEFT UPPER ARM MELANOMA, 0.5 MM IN THICKNESS, LEFT JAWLINE SQUAMOUS CELL CARCINOMA IN SITU, EXTENDING TO THE TISSUE EDGE”. She has to have 2 different procedures: One is a 4-6 hour procedure at the dermatologist, and the other will be with a specialist at CPMC (which will be much more intense for the melanoma).
Things that can be done to help:
Donation to the Go Fund Me link below to help with mortgage, medical bills, dental bills, house bills, groceries, etc.
Gift cards Door Dash, Grubhub, Safeway, or anywhere that delivers so they can order groceries or dinner right to their door. Amazon gift cards to help with anything Jackson may need, or things Victoria will need to help with recovery. This way she can order and have it delivered to their home.
Help with Jackson Any money for and/or transportation to summer camps so that Victoria can focus on healing from her procedures and not have to worry about his care while school is out for summer.
Taking Jackson for a nice summer day to play with other kids. Victoria will update when she knows the dates for her procedures and we can coordinate some sort of schedule.
Venmo is easiest, most direct, and doesn’t have fees taken out. Every $5, $10 whatever you can spare will be so helpful and so appreciated ☑️ @Victoria-Olson-11
Anything else that you can think of that requires very little thought, work, or coordination / decisions on Victoria’s end. She is extremely overwhelmed, and understandably so.
Feel free to DM me with questions. Please pray for her and her family ✨

Original Post
Our dear friend, Victoria, has been diagnosed with cervical cancer and is currently undergoing chemotherapy and radiation.
As most of you know, Victoria is one of the kindest and most generous people you could ever meet. She has helped so many of us in our times of need and cared for many of our children through the years. Now, it is our turn to help out Victoria and her family while she navigates this tough time.
There are many ways we can help and financially is one of them! Help pay for groceries, meals, gas for traveling to treatment, etc.
There is also a meal train that has been set up for her. https://www.mealtrain.com/trains/mgg5vk?fbclid=IwAR3KEtcJ1Unlrw3ZtKAqR5RTqfeVbMuhFf79jefIbjHWsPJRgQT2p7qt51Q She would love to have a meal delivered to her door. They enjoy things like casseroles, rotisserie chicken, pork, steak, and soups. You could also Venmo @Victoria-Olson-11.
A final way you could offer help is to arrange to care for Jackson for a few hours and maybe even feed him a meal while he’s with you. You can contact Victoria directly to discuss. She and her family will greatly appreciate any and all help. Mostly, she just needs to feel the support and love from all of us and know that her village is here to get her through. Thank you!
