One of my best friends, Victor Wong, suffered a massive stroke in January 2017.  He underwent several brain surgeries, and though awake, he has not regained the ability to speak, walk, or function in any capacity.  Victor is only 47 years old and is the sole provider for his family, which includes 4 children and his in-laws.  His youngest just turned 3.  Victor, simply put, is one of the best human beings I have been blessed to know.  He exemplifies kindness, compassion, loyalty, generosity, sensibility, fair mindedness and honesty.  He has always been my "go-to" person when I need advise about anything and everything because I always know  I will get an honest and fair assessment from him.  He and his wife have been the best friends I could ever have.  We are trusting in God that he will recover to a functional level, but until then, he has a long and difficult road ahead of him and will be unable to provide for his family.  The hospital bills are mounting up, and his disability insurance is about to run out.
