Hi, my name is Tremain Davis, and I am doing a fundraiser on behalf of my father, Victor Thomas Davis. Those of you who knew him, knew that he was a people person, he loved his family, and he loved others, and he never met a stranger. Filled with joy and laughter, he always kept a smile on his face. Most of all, he loved God and loved going to church. Victor Davis joined Golden Memorial UMC. He attended Bible Study and made the teacher do his/her homework, they knew when my dad showed up, that he was going to show up with a lot of questions. He read his Bible and prayed to God faithfully. He sung in the choir, he ushered, and if they would have allowed him, I believe he would have preached lol. My dad also loved playing spades, barbecuing, especially ribs, he was known for his ribs. He loved children and children loved him. In 2021, my father was diagnosed with dementia, Alzheimer's disease. On February 20, 2024, my father passed from earth to heaven to be with his Heavenly Father and loved ones who have gone on. Dementia is a terrible disease. He went from weighing 165 pounds down to 118 in less than a year. We watched this disease rob him of his memories and eventually his health. In less than a week, he lost his ability to swallow and walk. Our Heavenly Father decided that His son would no longer continue to suffer. God took him by the hand and brought my daddy, His son, home. When I viewed his face for the last time after he passed, I saw nothing but peace and smile on his face! Unfortunantely, my dad did not have life insurance. As a family, we did try to get him some a few years ago, he either denied and or the insurance was too costly. Please help me to honor my father and give him a decent memorial. Although we would like to bury my father, we've decided that the most cost-effective way would be cremation. Burial would be at least $10,000.00 or more; we can do a nice service and cremation for $6,500.00. Again, please help us to honor our loved one by giving what you can so that we can pay our final respects to a truly wonderful man who lived a life of love. Thank you in advance for your generosity!
