Hello my name is Victor Preciado and last month I had the opportunity to go to Arizona and try out for one of the best soccer academy’s  in the country, out of 120 boys. I was one of two boys asked to be part of their academy. For me it was what I’ve been dreaming about since I was 10 years old. Not only will I be playing the best soccer in our country but I will be attending their school,  ASU prepatory academy. That program guarantees me a college scholarship and a possibility of playing professional soccer. It truly is a dream of mine to be the first Highschool and College graduate in my family. While being my senior year and with everything going on due to COVID-19 school for me and sports here will not be the same and for sure. This is the most important year in my life because this is where scouts and colleges start to look at me but that might not even happen here. By going to Barca Academy, I have a chance to guarantee my future. I know in this world nothing is free or handed to you. As my parents have always told me “God has a plan for you”. I know that is true but I’m not going to lie I sometimes I get doubts and questions in my head to where I don’t know if the plan he’s making for me is something I understand. But I always have faith and hope that something will work out for me. I am currently 16 years old and am still young and I know I still have a long road ahead of me and big decisions to make and this was one of them. My family and I have put in a lot of hard work for these last 16 years of my life and I have made a lot of sacrifices and have put ambition in everything I do. I know my parents have never had it easy but they have always taught me many great things in life my father always told me and I will always remember this. Is that the lazy person always has to do it more than once. And my mother is my rock when it comes to helping me get closer to God and always staying positive. She tells me God doesn’t put things in our path that he knows we can’t handle. Without my parents I don’t know who I would be. I know especially during these times things can be hard, but with faith and hope things will get better. I would really appreciate anything. This will really help me achieve my dream and make it reality. Thank you very much and God Bless you!

- Sincerely, Victor Preciado
