Victor Porter’s Medical Journey

This Go Fund Me is set up for our friend and colleague, Victor Porter.  Vic has recently been given health news that will have him out of work, from time to time, for various medical procedures. His medical bills are adding up and we hope that this go fund me will help to alleviate some of that burden. Vic continues to smile and praise God through it all. We asked Vic if he could give us a statement about his medical condition that we could post on his go fund me page. This is what he had to say.

“Hi. My name is Victor Porter and I’m going through some significant health issues. I’m in stage 5 Renal kidney disease. There are no other stages. The next stage is complete kidney failure and that will be terminal. I also have edema in my legs and feet. I have large diabetic wounds underneath both of my feet. Right now, they’re not healing. If I get another infection I could lose both my legs. Just recently, they have found cancer in my lung. The doctors aren’t sure how I got cancer in my lungs because I’ve never smoked. The cancer isn’t bad yet but at this point it has doubled in size. Right now I’m taking chemo with pills, but that along with my weekly dialysis, leaves me completely nauseous and extremely weak and depleted. All this plus a plethora of medical bills I will never be able to pay off in time. I’m not the kind of person who asks for anything. This is the hand I’ve been dealt and I generally just suffer in silence. If you choose to help in any way I would be beyond appreciative. “

As you can see, Vic has quite the road ahead. He also just recently lost his fur baby, Anakin. Numerous people have reached out asking what they can do and if they can give monetary donations. That’s why we have set this up. If you feel led to donate, please do. If you can’t donate please pray. Vic will take all the prayers , positive energy and love you can send . My favorite quote from Mr. Rogers is this, “When I was a boy and I would see scary things in the news, my mother would say to me, “Look for the helpers.
