Victor Lyric Jennings

Hi my name is Shamecca Jennings I’m here on behalf of my family. On Tuesday December 21, 2021 we learned that my little cousin Victor L. Jennings was deceased. We learned he had been dead for a month since November 21, 2021. We are grieving tremendously and sick over the fact that he was left in the morgue for so long alone and unclaimed, as if he wasn’t loved. He was!!! We are now struggling with the cost of trying to bury our loved one and also being robbed of by not being notified in a timely manner. They are threatening to remove him to the potters field (Hart Island) because we took too long to claim him, when we didn't even know he was no longer with us. If we didn't do a wellness check on my cousin his body would be God knows where. There was no sympathizing or empathizing with myself or family from the police, Agency where he lived, Hospital or Morgue. THEY ALL FAILED HIM!!!!! No one deserves to die alone and be treated the way he was. He was a good man and he was loved beyond measures. In this difficult time the last thing we want to do is this but we are, Please help in any way that you can. Thank you!!
