Victor Baez Emergency Medical Fund

Victor Baez; a caring father, a lively brother, a comedic friend to many who know him, and my loving son.  My name is Luz Celenia Albelo (also known as "Mima"), and I am humbly asking for support. 

On March 4th, 2020, my son Victor Baez suffered an Embolic stroke at his place of work.  A work employee immediately dialed 9-1-1 and Victor was taken by ambulance to the hospital. 
While hospitalized, he was in a medically induced coma and surgery was performed inside his skull to stop the swelling and bleeding in his brain.  A piece of his skull needed to be removed and is temporarily held inside a freezer. 
Due to his stroke, Victor Baez is now paralyzed on his entire left side. 

Not long after, the doctors found 8 blood clots in the arteries that go to his heart, and they needed to perform emergency surgery again. 

On May 26th, 2020, Victor had another embolism.  A third surgery was performed on his head because he caught an infection that was causing his brain to leak.

We are not sure when, but a fourth surgery needs to be performed in order to place the piece of his skull back in. 

My son has a long road ahead. He will need to go into a rehab center, although he may never walk again.  Victor does not have any medical insurance to help cover the overwhelming hospital bills and the on-going medical care and expenses.  He has fought for years to get disability assistance and health insurance, but he continues to get denied in the state of Florida where he lives. 

I will need to purchase medical equipment for my son to come back home. He will need a wheelchair, a disabled ramp installed on my property,  a medical rotation bed that is specifically for the disabled and paralyzed, medications, and many other necessities that will be needed along the way. 

I am a retired senior citizen who has been caring for my son and the expenses have been a burden on me.  I am asking my family and friends to please consider making a small contribution towards the financial hardship that has fallen upon my son and I.
