On November 18, 2018 around 9:11 p.m., in Puerto Rico, Victor Alexis Concepción Ferrer, 18 years old was struck by a drunk driver who was driving a FS150 truck with monster truck wheels. The driver of the FS150 invaded Victor’s lane while making a right turn, hitting Victor head on driving over the driver side of the vehicle and then reversing the truck to get off the car while crushing Victor Alexis Concepción Ferre body & car that night. The driver, Juan Carlos Benitez attempted to flee the scene, but with the help of the bystanders they were able to arrest him that night. Victor suffered multiple contusions to the body crushing his pelvic, shoulders, legs, ribs, collarbon and spine causing his brain to fill with fluid. He spent several months in a coma, after many surgeries he is finally awake. However, he cannot speak, his bones are begging to heal out of place because the damage was so sever the doctor said they were not able to repair him, leaving him paraplegic for the rest of his life only at the age of 18. Victor aspired to join the Army and later become a professor.

The driver, Juan Carlos Benitez is a resident of Los Angela’s California. That night he was driving a FS150 with California plates, registered in PA and a suspended license while intoxicated. Due to the lack of response from the police enforcement in Puerto Rico and corruption, we have not been able to find or convict the drunk driver.

We are seeking help so we can bring Alexis to Texas where he can receive the treatmont he needs.
