Victim's of attempted murder

Hi my name is Christina Melton and on the morning of March 14th 2024 my son was awoken to screams of his Father and his uncle. He ran into the living room and found his uncle on top of his Father (John Wade Goodno) hitting him in the head with a hammer. My son is only 16 and he ran over and started trying to pull his uncle off of his Father but only got held and pushed back but our son (hero) didn't stop trying. I was right after awoken by the screams and ran into the room to see my son trying to save his Father from my own brother (Timothy Dean Melton) trying to murder my husband. I tried screaming for him to stop but only got pushed by my brother all the way across the room and falling to the floor. My son and I ran into the bedroom trying to call 911 but we were shaking so much we dropped our phone which fell apart and were still shaking so badly we couldn't get the phone together so I told him to run to the neighbors house to call 911 and all I could do was stand in the front yard and scream for help trying to make sure my brother didn't come out and try to chase my son to the neighbors house. After my son was gone long enough I ran back into the bedroom and found my husband on the floor bleeding trying to find the phone to call 911. I heard my brother yelling through the door that he was about to burn us down and then I heard him leave the house so I ran back to the neighbors house to make sure he didn't find my son. After I knew he was inside with them I ran back up and the ambulance and police were there. They had to life flight my husband to the closest hospital. He is now so injured that he can't work and needs specialist doctors for his traumatic brain injury. I am on SSI and that won't cover all of our bills. We also found out he had stolen about 400 dollars and some of our food before he ran off. The police couldn't catch him even with a helicopter and drones. He turned himself in two or three days later when it started to rain from another neighbors house. My family is completely traumatized and desperately in need of help. We are about to lose everything because of this. These funds would be used to get my husband the medical help he needs, to pay our bills, gas, and food until my husband can get better and get back to work or get some financial help if he can't work anymore.In the face of a horrifying event, we are reaching out for your support.
