On the 16th January 2020, John went to work and instead of going home to his wife and three young children he sadly ended up badly wounded in hospital after a horrific attack. He will always live with the physical and psychological consequences of what he has been through as well grieving the loss of his colleague Robert in the same horrific attack.

As a village Linthwaite started this go fund me to show compassion to both John and Robert and their families. We also have a go fund me page for in memory of Robert which has succeeded over target.
