Namgyal Thakuri & Pema Bista Need Our Help

On Saturday January 2nd after dropping off a client in the Chelsea district of Manhattan Uber driver Namgyal Thakuri was brutally assaulted, then left bleeding from multiple head wounds while the crazed attacker sped off with his SUV crashing it multiple times, ultimately abandoning it after the final crash. Namgyal is married to Pema Bista, they have one very young elementary school age daughter that is currently attending classes remotely. Since the onset of Covid-19 Namgyal has been the sole income provider for his family, the SUV was the only car they had. Psychologically shaken, physically cut and bruised; Namgyal worries how he’ll provide for his family during the coming months. Contrary to the reporting in the video: to date neither Uber nor Lyft representatives have reached out to Namgyal nor have they been forth coming with the offer of financial aid. Let’s help them!
