Please Support Therapy of a Traumatized Teen

Hello my name is Cecile Kirk my daughter “ Summer” was stabbed on January 17 at JJ Daniel Middle School in Cobb County while sitting at table during lunch . A friend  walked up to my child handed her a tshirt she had borrowed from my child when Summer reached for the shirt the other child grabbed my little girls hair and started stabbing at her neck and head . My daughter  ended up with multiple wounds one almost hitting an artery. She was sent to hospital for examination , sutures and staples. This incident was not life threatening but very well the intent behind it was . The baby girl is home and recovering she will need therapy from this incident since it is such a traumatic event . We are asking for any support to go towards Summer’s recovery with her mental health since the government funded Medicaid only covers certain providers as well as types of therapy. I am asking you to please donate on this behalf , my child has suffered serious physical wounds but even more traumatic mental wounds that will take support from professionals as well as family and peers to begin to heal . She doesn’t understand this violence, none of us do. It has us all in shock but it has her in fear and desperation for protection and to rebuild self worth. No matter the size of the contribution it will help her tremendously!!!
