My name is Sabina Meghani and I have 3 children aged my daughter 13 and my boys 11 & 5.

I am a survivor of family & domestic violence, Child abuse, emotional and financial abuse including Marital Rape.

I'm now diagnosed with Epilepsy and getting assessed for Breast Cancer

Following intervention by child protection services and Victoria police, my children and I are now protected by an full no contact Intervention Order, with an extensive ongoing investigation by Victoria police regarding the 15+ years of abuse which will lead to court proceedings.

He is also Criminally investigated by Australian Federal police for fraud & CPS for child abuse and SOCIT team.

I work as a disability support worker (since 2021), but due to my own health issues coupled with responsibilities towards my children, I am unable to work full-time hours. I am facing significant financial hardship and this GoFundMe page is to help me meet medical and living expenses for my family to supplement my limited income.

I’m extremely sorry for not being able to disclose the specific details of the horrific abuse that happened to me and my children which spanned over the course of 15+ years within the walls of OUR HOME, which was supposed to be a safe place, due to ongoing legal proceeding.

Background:

I had an arranged marriage in October 2007. I arrived in Sydney in July 2008. Over the following years, I experienced ongoing domestic violence, including physical, emotional, sexual and financial abuse. This abuse continued throughout my marriage from 2008 to 2025.

Due to cultural pressures and lack of family support, I was unable to seek help for many years.

The abuse escalated over time and ultimately extended to my children.

Health Impact:

The prolonged abuse has resulted in severe physical and mental health consequences for me, including:

• Post-natal depression and anxiety requiring medication

• Multiple surgical procedures following injuries

• Current diagnoses including Ankylosing spondylitis, PNES seizures, FND, Sarcopenia, Malabsorption, Fibromyalgia, Sacroiliitis and other chronic conditions

• Ongoing pain management requiring specialist treatment

• Mobility and health issues that limit my ability to work full-time

My Children:

My middle child (son 11yo) was born prematurely and has been diagnosed with ADHD, requiring ongoing medical/behavioural support.

My youngest child (son 5yo) was born with multiple disabilities including club foot, developmental delays, autism, epilepsy, feeding disorders and toilet training/bowel control issues. He is registered with NDIS and requires extensive therapy and medical appointments.

All three children have been impacted by the family violence they witnessed and experienced.

They are currently receiving appropriate support services.

Current Situation:

In early 2025, following reports from school staff who observed concerning signs, authorities (CPS) became involved. And I mustered up the courage to speak up to the cops about all the abuse for the sake of my children.

Child protection services and police conducted investigations. After providing detailed statements to police about the abuse, a full no contact Intervention Order was granted for our protection.

Police investigations are currently ongoing. My children and I are now safe but face significant financial challenges as we rebuild our lives.

My Health Challenges:

I continue to face serious health issues that limit my capacity to work full-time hours. Recent diagnoses include Ankylosing Spondylitis, PNES Seizures , FND Tremors and I experience constant pain on the right side of my body.

I require ongoing medical treatment including specialist medications such as biologics / immuno suppressants.

Despite these challenges, my children give me strength and motivation to keep fighting for our future and I will keep fighting to give them the future they rightfully deserve.

• Medical costs and treatments (multiple frequent specialist appointments & MRI’s etc. All done privately because of the urgency)

• Making the payments for the significant debts that got accumulated under my name because of the financial abuse.
