Victim of a Hit & Run on the Island of Bali
Donation protected
Hi. I’m Colin Fassnidge. My friend and colleague, Jean Charles Sommer is a French Australian pastry chef who was working in Bali when he was badly injured in a hit and run motorcycle accident in Pererenan at the beginning of March 2025. An accident which unfortunately resulted in the amputation of his left leg just below the knee.
A bunch of his friends and I are looking to raise about $80,000 (or as much as reasonably possible) to cover his medical, legal and other costs.
As you can imagine, he’s going to need to be fitted with a prosthesis and will be in rehab for sometime - meaning he’ll not be able to work.
Also, with legal proceedings to recover compensation from the driver for the hit and run unable to proceed at this time, Jean Charles faces an uncertain future.
Your donation, however small, will go a long way to helping Jean Charles cover expenses incurred to date and assist in his fight to hold the driver responsible for his reckless actions.
And if you’re unable to donate, please consider sharing this page or the link to this fundraising page to help spread the word and get Jean Charles the funds he needs to help him get back to doing the things he loves.
Thank you.........
