Hi everyone! My name is Victoria. I am volunteering in Israel with the Christian organization CMJ-Israel since April'18 (17 months already).
I was born and raised in the Far East of Russia. In 2017 I came to Israel for 3 months and it was an incredible experience in many different ways.
I came back to Russia afterward, but a year later I joined the volunteer program of CMJ and moved to Israel.
Besides my volunteer work, I joined a church and started serving there actively. I also volunteered on the side with an organization that helps refugees (Unitaf), and an organization that works to fight prostitution and help drug-addicted women (Red Carpet).
To be able to support myself I have to work 30 hours a week for my remote job from Russia (usually, I work evenings & nights).
Despite having to work so much, being here was beneficial for me. I've met so many amazing people, gained so many skills, and discovered my calling.
I was praying about what I should do next as I am finishing my ministry here in April '20 (in 5 months). I felt in my heart that I need to go to a bible college and as I want to study worship, I chose to apply to the Hillsong Leadership College in Sydney, Australia (one of the best worship schools). I was accepted to the school, but now I am facing a little giant. I need to get 10k AUD which is about 6.2k EUR in order for my application to go through and to apply for a student visa.
I am aiming to start school in July '20. I believe that God will make a way and by the end of April '20, I'll have the amount that I need.
