Hello everyone!! My name is Victoria Garcez and I am from Hollywood, Florida. I am currently a senior at Saint Thomas Aquinas in Fort Lauderdale but I am thrilled to have been accepted to Chapman University in Orange, California, which is my dream school. I was very lucky to have been accepted into Chapman and I am happy to say that I was granted some financial aid. However, as I have come to do the math there is still a gap of money that restricts me from being able to officially attend Chapman. // Olá a todos!! Meu nome é Victoria Garcez e eu sou de Hollywood, Flórida. Atualmente sou sénior aqui em Saint Thomas Aquinas em Fort Lauderdale, mas estou muito feliz por ter sido aceita na Chapman University em Orange, Califórnia, que é a minha escola de sonho. Eu tive muita sorte de ter sido aceita na Chapman e estou feliz que me foi concedida alguma ajuda financeira. No entanto, quando eu parei para fazer as contas existe uma diferença de valor que me impede de matricular oficialmente na Chapman.

Throughout my highschool career, my main goal has always been to make my parents proud. Coming from a divorced family, my parents have made many sacrifices to allow my older sister and I to always have what we needed and more. I have never lacked anything in my life and am very grateful for the life I live. However, recently my mother has suffered a loss of income for the last two years. Luckily, she is finally slowly recuperating finacially but we have had to make adjustments. In my hopes to attend Chapman, I have been applying to numerous scholarships online in my quest to pursue my dream to major in Biology, where I can acheive my goal of being a doctor. // Ao longo da minha carreira na escola secundária, meu principal objetivo sempre foi fazer meus pais orgulhosos. Vindo de uma família separada, meus pais fizeram muitos sacrifícios para permitir que minha irmã mais velha e eu sempre tivéssemos o que precisávamos e muito mais. Nunca nos faltou nada ; sou muito grata pela vida que vivo. No entanto, nos ultimos anos, minha mãe sofreu uma grande perda financeira. Felizmente, ela está se recuperando lentamente, mas nós tivemos que fazer ajustes. Na minha esperança de atender a Chapman, apliquei para varias bolsas de estudo on-line para a area de Biologia. Eu pretendo ser uma médica me especializando em Ginecologia.

Chapman University is a dream I hope to make a reality. Chapman to me is a place that holds an array of opputunities that will allow me to help and make a difference in other lives that need guidance. I thank you from the bottom of my heart for even reading my campaign and giving your time. // Chapman University é um sonho que eu espero se tornar uma realidade. Chapman para mim é uma faculdade que oferece varias oportunidades que me permitirá ajudar e fazer diferença em outras vidas.
