I remember hearing the words "your Mom has cancer" three separate and very distinct times in my life now. Each time, these words hit our family like a ton of bricks. Each time, our hearts would break, like it was something new, a nightmare to be relived all over again.
This December, our greatest fear returned, and the depth and gravity of her Acute Myeloid Leukemia diagnosis and aggressive treatment plan brought our newest reality to us - Mom will die if we do not find a bone marrow donor.
With Mom’s first grandchild on the way, a 65th Birthday to celebrate and countless Christmas’ and family events in her beautiful Baba future - we are going to beat this again. DEFEAT IS NOT AN OPTION.
We are so grateful for everyone's support in food, love and the countless hospital visits we have been getting, but still, the question is asked "how can I help, what more can I do?"

3) Donate – This 3-6 month journey is going to be a long and challenging road to travel. We want Mom 100% focused on her recovery – not her finances. Here are some of the expenses we are already preparing for:

-$1,600 ($100/week) 4 months alternative therapies
-$1,600 ($100/week) 4 months special nutrition plan

-$1,000 to Celebrate Life - Something special for Vicky when she summits Mt. Everest.

Our Mom, Vicky Schultz, is a cancer fighting ninja who makes this battle look effortless. She shelters everyone she cares for from the true reality of her diagnosis with her wicked sense of humor and can-do attitude. We are convinced that not even the world’s greatest actors could muster such a performance.
Vicky has been a rock for so many. She is the first person to swoop in and help another out. Now it is Vicky's turn to have heroes like YOU come to her rescue.
We recognize that some of you haven’t had that opportunity to be wrapped in the warmth of her caring nature just yet, and you may think “why should I give?” Over the holiday season, we reflect and pray that good things happen to good people.
