Dear Friends and Family - This page is supporting our lovely friend, Vicky, who has recently been diagnosed with a Pituitary Brain Tumour. This is a devastating & life-changing condition that causes significant hormone & health issues which are already negatively affecting all aspects of her health and life.
Vicky's main symptoms include failing eyesight, balance & coordination issues, increase in shoe size and height, deep depressions, mood swings & chronic fatigue. It is vital that she is seen as soon as possible by an Endocrinologist - it is critical she receives a full assessment, plus advice and treatment sooner rather than later. Sadly, the NHS waiting List for Endocrinology assessments is currently between 18 to 24 months.
As a 42 year-old single mum of two young boys (18 and 12), Vicky is currently too ill to work so this fundraising page is to help her secure an initial funding of £5,000. This will be used to cover the costs for her to have the crucial initial assessment and tests done privately. It will also be used to cover all other costs connected to her condition - cab fares to attend medical appointments, recommended supplements etc.
Any donation, whatever the amount, would be so gratefully received and if you can share this link for us, that would be wonderful and a great help.
Please help Vicky as she faces this incredibly challenging journey.
Thank you so much.
