Overcome the Odds for Vicki Vlah
Donation protected
Vicki, a daughter, a wife, a mother, a sister, a friend, a co-worker and so much to so many people. She is the type of woman who would give you the shirt off her back. In May of this year, Vicki suffered an unfortunate accident. She fell and had a traumatic brain injury. She spent 3 weeks in the ICU then went to Shepard Hospital in Atlanta for rehab. She went home in July and was showing improvement, still needing some rehab and assistance at home. In early September, she suffered another unfortunate accident. She fell again, this time injuring the opposite side of her brain. Again spent time in the ICU and then sent back to Shepard Hospital. Her recovery this time is much slower and she is being brought back to Cleveland to continue rehab in a hospital near her home. The travel expenses and continued hospitalization is taking a toll on her family. Her husband, Frank, may have to pay for continued rehab out of pocket and he is willing to do whatever it takes to make his wife better. I know Frank and Vicki have appreciated all everyone has done so far, but as a community, I am asking for people to come together and help this very difficult situation be a little less burdensome. We hope and pray she will soon get well enough to return home. No husband or child should have to go through this - twice.
"So let's not allow ourselves to get fatigued doing good. At the right time we will harvest a good crop if we don't give up, or quit. Right now, therefore, every time we get the chance, let us work for the benefit of all, starting with the people closest to us in the community of faith."
