As many of you know Vicki is in a medically induced coma after getting sick while on vacation in Florida. I started this to help the family with additional costs of her medical care. Also, to help Mitch and other family memebers that have had to travel down to Florida from Michigan to be with her during her care. Costs can add up quickly, so any amount would be helpful. Also, please keep Vicki in your prayers while she fights through this! All of the donations will be release to Vicki and her son Mitch.
Mitch- She is in a medically induced coma and on a ventilator right now. She is not doing very well and how she does now really depends on her and how she responds to everything. Please keep praying and thank you for all of the support and love that you all have been showing my family in this time.
Mitch Update 1- At the hospital with Vicki Vaughn. There is no new news at this point other than she isn't getting any worse which is great for right now. Promise to keep everyone updated as much as I can. Thank you again for all of the love and support. We truly are blessed and I'm so proud to be from our community where we can come together in a time of crisis.
Mitch Update 2- got to the hospital this morning and mom is doing about the same. The doctors found an infection in her blood. They do not know the source of the infection but are running further tests.
Mitch Update 3- they've determined what kind of blood infection my mom has and are treating it. She also has strep pneumonia. Doctors said that she more than likely was sick before she came to Florida and didn't know. She did take a few breaths tonight over the ventilator which is a very positive sign.
*Also, Mitch has requested you do not inform any of his children about Vicki's condition. He would like to discuss it with them himself. .(Please please do not tell my children about any of this going on with my mother. I do not want them knowing anything is wrong until we know what the outcome of everything is. There is no need to put that undo stress on a child. So please, if you see my children, don't offer condolences or ask about my mom or anything as we are trying to protect them at this time. We already had an incident with Lacy's daughter Layla being pulled out of class at school and being asked by a teacher what was wrong....again, please help us to keep this from them. Thank you all)*
