Help Vicki Wagner Fight Cancer

If you've known my mom, Victoria "Vicki" Wagner, for a decent amount of time, you know that 7 years ago she battled breast cancer. For the last 9 months, Vicki has been experiencing severe pain in her back, pelvis, and legs which doctors thought was just sciatica. After months of the pain getting worse, doctors brought her in for an MRI with the assumption that she fractured her lower spine. The MRI results came back and on Christmas Eve, the doctor informed us that Vicki has several tumors along the base of her spine that they believe originated from her first round of breast cancer and remained hidden all these years. After several tests and procedures, doctors have concluded that Vicki has stage 4 metastatic breast cancer that is in her breast, liver, and bones. Fortunately, her doctors feel confident that they can get this aggressive cancer under control and into remission, but it will require a life of treatment and medications which are costly. To add to the physical, emotional and mental stress, Vicki was required by her doctor to leave her job because of the amount of pain she is in and the amount of treatment she will need. She applied for disability, but it will take 6-12 months before she will get an income and even then, she will only get a fraction of what she made at her job. 

If you've been lucky enough to know Vicki, you know how caring and supportive she is. She is always willing to help someone in need, never expecting anything in return. She has been so brave, strong, and independent and it's hard for her to ask for any sort of help, but she needs it now more than ever. Her and her husband are now living off his income alone and have medical bills adding up fast already. It would be amazing to allow her to focus on her treatment and getting better so she can be with her friends and family instead of worrying about medical expenses and household bills.
