Hi. I'm Tim John (screenwriter of the British movie "A Street Cat Named Bob").
I'm hoping you can help me raise funds to make this uplifting documentary - A TRUE STORY about a single mum in recovery from drug addiction who started Bournemouth Food Bank from a garden shed and turned it into a major success.
Last year, Bournemouth Foodbank provided over 115,000 meals to more than 13,000 people. More than 30,000 of these meals were for children.
My hope is to make a documentary I can sell to TV companies, or even get in some cinemas - with all the profits from selling it going to Bournemouth Food Bank.
Be assured that, if we can't raise enough money to make the documentary, ALL DONATIONS will go directly to Bournemouth Food Bank anyway.
This is not a crowdfunder organised by Bournemouth Food Bank itself. They organise their own ones. This is simply me as a filmmaker trying to make a documentary that could raise awareness and funds for the food bank.
I'm WORKING FOR FREE and asking everyone else involved to do the same - but there may be some equipment costs.
"Every little helps" is a supermarket slogan, but it's especially true of food banks. And needed now more than ever. Apparently, there are currently more food banks in the UK than branches of McDonald's!
I really hope you can help.
