Jerry & Vicki Chambless - $6,000 still needed to finish
Donation protected
It has almost been a year since the fire. A lot has gone wrong with the contractors and the insurance company. If anyone is so moved to assist financially, help her unpack, or to offer emotional support please reach out to her. They ended up short about $6,000 due to construction costs exceeding the insurance company proceeds. Thank you for your previous support! It was very helpful during their RV adventure. prayers appreciated.
Hi, my name is Vicki Sorrell and I am hoping to help Vicki and Jerry Chambless get through a tough time resulting from their house fire the day after Christmas 2023. You might remember her from Jacksonville Savings in Jacksonville, First State Bank in Athens, or from the community service she has provided in Canton Texas. Her sister, Kathy Marshall, worked with me at Austin Bank for years. Her brother, Mike Marshall, lives in Jacksonville. They are going to be “homeless” for about six months while they wait for their home to be repaired. The first 30 days will be spent in a Canton hotel. They hope to get a power pole in place so they can rent a RV to park on their property so they can stay there while the work is being done on their home. They do have insurance but we all know how that goes with deductibles, delays, etc. They are both retired and any help would be appreciated. We all need help at some point in our lives. This is their time. The funds will be used to bridge the gap due to insurance deductible and waiting time for financial assistance from the insurance company. We will find out more from the insurance company as they know more.
