Vicki, and I, find ourselves in a difficult spot. A couple weeks ago, we had a gas leak. The gas company confirmed the gas leak and shut off the gas. The plumber, states there are major issues requiring all the gas piping to be replaced (this is confirmed). We are looking at $5,000 to $6000, to fix the pipes and replace our heating stove. More if they have to tear up the floor or tear into a wall.

Many of you know that, Iam a, retired Paramedic and Fire Fighter. Iam disabled, due to rheumatoid arthritis, and have applied for social security (waiting on a court date). Vicki, my wife, a Disabled Veteran, has her V.A. disability, and Social Security, for our sole income.

We own our home. The banks won’t finance a loan, because we don’t use credit cards, nor do we have more than Vicki’s income. They won’t use the house as collateral! We have applied for public assistance to no avail. One place won’t take an application for another month, because we never had to use them. They aren’t sure they can even help with the size of this problem…

Winter has come, quickly, upon us. So We are at our wits end and becoming desperate. We hate asking anyone to help, but find we must.

Please help us. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
