Hi, my name is Kate. I am the mother of an amazing girl called Isabella age 5. She was diagnosed with autism age 3.

Isabella has always had sensory issues regarding her hair. We have been talking a lot and she has decided she would like her hair cut, and because her hair is so long, we are donating the hair to princesses trust, where they create wigs for young children with hair loss.

we would love if you could help us raise a little bit of money to go towards the school that has helped Isabella achieve so much this year so far. Her speech has improved so much she is no longer under a speech therapist, this is because all her speech needs are being met in school. She finally has friends, she runs into school happily each morning and is so happy to see them! Which as you can imagine as her parents this makes us so happy! She has grown so much, in ways I never thought she would, and the school is an absolute godsend to us as a family, because it means we know she is safe and happy in school, and we are just so excited to see what her future brings.

the area in the school that she is in currently is called the cove, and this area is currently undergoing some much needed building work creating more space for the children who need the space the most. The cove is a space for children to go if they are overwhelmed, need some timeout or for those children who simply cannot cope in a full classroom of children, and this place provides a calm environment for children to enable them to learn in ways which suit them best. Isabella loves it, and if we can raise some funds to make this area even better that would be fantastic for all the children at Vickerstown school.
