This year we all can do something to inspire and help someone around us. We are raising money for Vicente Cuenca, who has been a kind and hardworking staff member at ECDS for more than 10 years.
Vicente has a deteriorating hearing disability that can be helped with a hearing device. In the past, he and his family looked into getting a device but found the costs to be beyond what they could afford.
Because of the high cost, we are asking for the community's help in providing a much needed improvement to Vicente's life and health.
After contacting a local hearing aid center (Coastal Hearing Aid Center), and understanding the process and prices, Vicente will be applying for hearing aid assistance which will greatly reduce the cost. However, he would still need to pay approximately $2,000 (decent hearing aids can cost $5,000 and above).
Since it is the season for giving to those in need, why not help someone from the community who helps children thrive on a daily basis?
