For Vic&Nik: a Cancer Comeback
Donation protected
Veronica and Vicki really didn't want to have to ask, but if you can help, they need your support.
Nik has suffered with four significant, chronic health conditions for several years and this year she has been battling number five, esophageal cancer, which involved a major operation that will keep her off work for several more months than anticipated.
After her back issues kept her off work for nearly two years, she returned to full time work last June, but filing for disability again so soon after that has provided them with fewer SDI benefits than before. Vicki has very limited mobility and works only a part time job at this time.
The good news is that Veronica's benefits allow for access to Stanford Hospital. Her care has been great, and insurance is expected to cover the majority of those costs, but with the long duration of Nik's recovery, her reduced benefit income will not cover all of their expenses.
STD benefits stop next month.
And now their landlord is evicting them this fall to renovate the apartments in their building. They need to find new housing all without income for about 4 months.
They hope to get some LTD benefits, but they will definitely have to take penalized withdrawals from their retirement fund to survive.
If you're able, please donate generously and share this plea. If you are not able to donate, please share this request via social media and email with anyone in your lives willing to do a kindness for our friend.
Thank you & God Bless You and your good health!
Please visit www.Paypal.me/VAbrickis,
where selecting the gift to friend/family option will not incur any fees; or here with the GoFundMe page, which will incur about an 8% deduction.
Either way is okay!
