Vic Kunze Memorial Fund
Donation protected
As many of you have heard, the Kunze family has suffered a tremendous loss this last week. On Wednesday, May 3rd, 2017 Vic Kunze passed away at his home in Paso Robles, California.
He is survived by his wife of 31 years Michele, his son Zak, fiance Kelsey Corson, his daughter Shayna, his parents Herb and Ginny Kunze, sister Val, niece Kellie, nephew JR, Mother-in-law Colleen Klein, brother-in-law Chris Silva, wife Joanna, and children: Taylor, Sean Morris, baby Brixton, Kendahl, Christopher, Aeja, Kieryn and Hayden.
Vic was born and raised in Goleta, Califonia. He was involved in 4H and his project was to grow a crop so he chose pumpkins. This, in turn, started Vic and Vals Pumpkins (est. in 1969). He owned the Texaco Station in Buellton for five years and then married Michele and began their adventure to Paso Robles to start their family. When Vic moved to Paso Robles he retraced his roots and started the River K Pumpkin Patch and Cornmaze in 1996 on River Road, where it still can be found every October. They have been growing crops for over 48 years.
Vic also owned and operated MVR Repair for the last 21 years, spent 2 years on the San Miguel Advisory Board, and was a very dedicated family member of the Central Coast Youth Football League (CCYFL) for 18 years. He participated with the Fellowship of Christian Athletes for 5, and was a 23 year veteran of the Paso Robles Trail Riders Association, including the Presidential role in 2013.
Vic was an amazing man, and loved and appreciated by so many. He loved to have an impact on someone's life and was always there if you needed him. He donated a lot of his time bbqing for community events or helping anywhere he could, and worked hard to provide for his family.
As friends and neighbors for the past nine years, we are putting this fundraiser together in order to try and relieve his family of some of the fiancial burdens that come with planning a funeral. In such a time of despair, we are reaching out to those who hold Vic and his family dear to their hearts, and want to help where we can.
The funds from this campaign will be used for the Celebration of Life, Funeral Services, and any additional support that Vic's family will need.
The Celebration of Life will be held at the California Mid State Fairgrounds at the Frontier Pavilion on Saturday, May 20th at 3pm. A luncheon will be served following the service.
Thank you for your generosity and support in this time of need.
Any donation is greatly appreciated.
