The Vibe Tribe Scholarship is a funding campaign committed to raising money and awareness for less fortunate children in Gambia to give them an education. As individuals, this stuck a chord with us when we visited the SOS Hermann Gmeiner High School and spoke to the principal, giving us an insight into just how many children end up without an education due to funding. It has since become our aim to engage with the school and bring awareness to just how little it costs to send a child to school.
The Vibe Tribe Scholarship's aim for 2019 is to be able to send 100 children to school for the next 5 years. Principal Samuel Turay indicated that this sort of funding is a big need within the education system in Gambia because without it many children grow up without an education.
We want to help change this with your help.
Having recently released a film about our time in Gambia, we are now raising money to be able to offer this Vibe Tribe Scholarship to children needing funds to be able to go to school. This campaign will support ongoing costs for each pupil which at the minute is £225 per child for a years worth of education. Our aim is to fund each child for 5 years.
Our target £112,500 would make sure that 100 children would be able to have an education for the next 5 years without having to worry about the financial cost.
We know this is a big goal but we are committed to making this possible with the help of our community. Every donation helps to change someones life.
