Help Fix Bo's Leg!
Donation protected
From a back alley in Boyle Heights, CA, a baby Amstaff Terrier named Bodean was born the runt of a litter of puppies this past August. She was severely malnourished & getting beat up by the older, bigger dogs on the property. Thankfully she was rescued by District Mills and I am now taking care of her at my home where she lives with a very energetic 6 year old shepard-mix and 2 cats. She wants desperately to play with her housemates and it is heartbreaking to see her not be able to jump and run like her friends.

Unfortunately, Bo was born with a congenital defect, a laterally luxating patella, grade 4 (very bad). She also has a torn cranial cruciate ligament, also commonly referred to as the dog ACL, and she needs the TPLO (Tibial Plateau Leveling Osteotomy) surgery. She struggles to walk as her left leg is nearly useless. The doctors say it’s a miracle that she can walk even the amount that she does!
She wants so badly to run and play with the other dogs and cats she lives with, but she physically can’t do it without an extensive and traumatic surgery (and your help)! I can not afford the surgery on my own and that is why I am reaching out to you. The severity of the problem with her left leg is now causing problems in her right leg but now that her growth plates are sufficiently grown, she is able to have the surgery that can relieve her of the pain she has never been without.

Bo is a really sweet and loving girl – she loves cats and other dogs and she would LOVE to run in the park and play like a puppy should. Bo and everyone who loves her would be eternally grateful for your support! Any money raised will go towards the imminent surgery that Bo needs and the antibiotics/pain meds to keep Bo healthy in her 2 month recovery. Anything you can donate, even $1, will be so appreciated. Even if you can’t donate, it would be so appreciated if you could share this on your Facebook or Instagram!
Thank you SO MUCH!

If you donate $1,500, you will receive a District Mills 3x8 A-frame table made from wine barrels.
