VHI Women's Mini Marathon in aid of Hugh's House

We are a group of mothers who met in the ICU in Temple Street after our babies were born. Little did we know that our journey together would continue for many more months and we would end up living together in Hugh's House (for families of critically ill children)

Staying in Hugh's House allowed us to develop a bond with our babies by simply being at their bedside all day, every day. We cannot overstate how pivotal it was, having a bed just around the corner. This amazing charity looks after parents at their most vulnerable and makes sure that financial and housing worries are not an additional worry to that of their child.

We know that Hugh's House decreased the trauma that we experienced and we are so grateful for all that they have given us. We all vowed that we would fundraise for them when the time came that our babies were thriving. We can happily say that our babies are doing well!

We have decided to run the VHI women's mini marathon in aid of Hugh's House and in celebration our little miracles! If you can support us, we would be so grateful! Know that you will be supporting parent's in their deepest time of need.
