Support Steve's Fight Against Cancer

I’m reaching out to our great UCSB community, the Hammerheads, and other friends to support our dear friend, Steve "BATO" Bastasini, who is courageously battling cancer. Many of you remember him as a great friend and the life of the party at UCSB and beyond. He was the one who always organized events and made our college days unforgettable. Today, Steve is facing a devastating fight against cancer, having endured 17 surgeries, the removal of his ear, significant surgeries on his back, legs, and face, radiation, etc. It's been really devastating and gruesome to say the least, and the fight is not over! Despite his resilience, the financial burden has become overwhelming, and he’s struggling to cover essential expenses like rent while caring for his two children who now live with him.
