Sha Poe, the wife of David Poe a dedicated Azle police officer was 14 when she was diagnosed with Sick Sinus Syndrome and Long QT. She had surgery and was given a pacemaker at 14 years old, since then she has married the love of her life and had 2 beautiful girls ages 3 and 5. On September 1st 2015 Sha’s pacemaker alerted her that it was dying and she would have no more than two months to replace the device before it quits completely. This procedure is extremely expensive and the hospital will not even schedule the surgery without the costs being paid upfront. The Poe family has under 2 months to come up with the funds which will total approx. 8,000.00 and this is only if the insurance elects to cover the procedure.
