I am fundraising on behalf of a family in our community who needs some support this month. Amy, a high school student, is part of a multigenerational household made up of her single-mom, and her grandma. Amy's mom recently lost her job and, being undocumented, is having a difficult time finding a job. With SNAP benefits halted, they have been living off the income of Amy's grandma's part-time job, which can only go so far to support a family.

On top of these difficult circumstances, Amy and her grandma experienced injuries over the last year, and will both require surgery. Amy has held part-time jobs after school, but it is getting harder with her health getting in the way. Its likely that Amy's grandma will have to stop working for a time– which would leave Amy and her family at a great disadvantage, since that would sacrifice the family's only source of income at this time.
