Support Patrick's Journey to Recovery

On July 29th of this year, my father, Patrick, was admitted to the hospital due to breathing complications related to pulmonary and respiratory failure. This was the beginning of a long journey in the hospital. After going through extensive testing, antibiotics, and other pre-transplant procedures, at one point he was not expected to live. However, because of prayer and our wonderful, encouraging team of Doctors who brought something to the table that had never been done, in mid-September, he underwent a life-saving double lung transplant. After one month of recovery and physical therapy in the hospital, he was finally able to return home. Unfortunately, his journey took an unexpected turn when he required another surgery in mid-November for a severe stomach hernia.

Patrick is currently unable to work for at least one year. Due to the required 24/7 home care, my mom had to take FMLA, unpaid, to care for him leaving a financial burden of medical bills and medications. Despite their determination and strength, the mounting expenses have become overwhelming even having an outlook of returning to work in 2026.

We want to raise money to help cover these ongoing medical costs and provide them with the support and care necessary to continue Patrick's recovery at home. Being the mom and dad who enjoy family, they want to return to enjoying life with family, friends, their 3 sons, and their 3 beautiful grandkids!
