Emergency Call: Financial Aid for Families in Lebanon

Hello, wonderful people!

Due to the ongoing war, countless families from Southern Lebanon, as well as Beirut and the Beqaa, have been forced to leave behind their homes, memories, and everything they hold dear. This unimaginable situation has left them displaced, navigating a world of uncertainty and fear.

As a group of young lebanese people, coming from the South and living in Beirut, our immediate focus is on families from Southern Lebanon, where we have the the strongest contacts and can directly support those in urgent need. These people are our families, friends and neighbours. Many families are receiving assistance through shelters and community kitchens, but there are still numerous families who are not in these facilities. These families have found temporary housing, such as rooms or small apartments, but are struggling to cover their basic needs—rent, food, medicine, water, and electricity.

These families are some of the most generous and dignified people you could ever meet, who have spent their lives giving back to their communities. They wouldn’t ask for help unless it was absolutely necessary. As young family members, we are stepping in to support them during this challenging time to be able to continue to live their lives.

Our goal is to offer these families direct financial assistance, giving them the control and dignity to manage their specific needs. We are committed to ensuring that all funds are distributed transparently and fairly.

These families don’t just need survival; its also about maintaining and regaining some stability and dignity in displacement.

While our focus is currently on Southern Lebanon, if we raise more than what's needed, we will extend help to families from Beirut and the Beqaa who are facing similar hardships.
