Hello everyone! I am making a GoFundMe for Stormey because anyone that knows her knows she won’t ask for the help herself.
This fundraiser is for our Ax Man. I’ll share with you a post from his momma and then explain what we need.
“Axle update:
He was diagnosed with a right-sided aortic arch with aberrant left subclavian artery. In short, his aorta is flipped and the branching to his left shoulder is behind his esophagus. (It’s called a vascular ring)
This should have been found at 20 weeks gestational or in one of the 100 xrays he has had, because of his terrible sounding coughs. This causes his difficulty breathing, swallowing, and makes his coughs sound much worse. He’s not dying. He’s just suffering constantly. We’ve been told it was asthma for years. We were told in Morgantown that he has no vascular ring, but Charleston confirmed he does.
After his cardiologist consulted with a surgeon in Cincinnati, Axle will be having heart surgery in October to bypass, or relocate this valve.
Heart surgery was NEVER what I thought was wrong, or ever what I wanted to hear. BUT I am so thankful to have answers for this boys who wants nothing but to play sports and be a kid!
We are thankful for everyone, and we will keep everyone updated as we continue! “
NOW, it’s our turn to help. Axle’s pre-op alone is going to be $2000 AFTER INSURANCE. They also have to plan for expenses to travel for the surgery, lose work time, and find help with their other children while caring for Axle. With that being said, Stormey has donated her time in the RYFL for several years now and asked for nothing in return. She is first in line to help any of our children and I firmly believe we should be lined around the block, ready to give back to someone who gives so freely to others. Break out your wallets and donate anything you can, because it’s not often we get to help make an impact for something of such great magnitude… Let’s take some of the burden off of them and rise up as a community!
We all love you Axle! You’ll be back at your sports in no time bud!
