Meet my friend Davy!
This remarkable man is a fireball- he was born with Cerebral Palsy and is a spastic quadriplegic. Davy is a a volunteer, a community inspiration -- and is in dire need of a van.
Due to the physical limitations Davy has, he is in a wheel chair and requires a Handicap Accessible Van. The ability to have such a vehicle is not a choice, it is a necessity. His older van (which, he kept and maintained for 15+ years) has stopped running and is not repairable.
While Davy is an incredibly talented and able-minded individual, he has limited funds. Our hope is to raise enough money to fully fund a new van for Davy. In doing so, we ensure Davy can continue to be the encouragment and inspiration he has been to the community, his friends, and his family-- as well as have a way to get from place to place.
You see, Davy uses his vehicle the way you and I do... He runs to the Dr. as needed; rehab; therapy, hospital visits, as well as emergency runs. If he wants to volunteer at an event, or if he is invited to the mall with a friend-- he has to take his van. Davy relies on the ability to have a vehicle ready at the drop of a hat to get to where he needs to be. Aside from the physical needs he also lives in the country where he has no public transportation access.
What impact does a new van really have for Davy-- and the community?
Davey is unlike most anyone you'll ever meet because inspite of the trials he has dealt with in life, he has made an amazing impact on just about everyone he has come across in life. He desires to make others lives better and to encourage those around him to never quit! Davy has spoken at events and volunteered at local walk-a-thons to raise money for those in need. He sincerely has a heart for the people around his community and in other locations that he knows need support.
When he sets his mind to something-- it gets done!
Davy has had an incredible amount of accomplishments: he graduated high school and then continued to college, where he completed his degree. After graduation, he consulted with many businesses and has been involved in the course of his lifetime extensively as a volunteer at national organizations.
Please understand the donation you make greatly impacts the ability of this young man, as well as the projects he undertakes. Lets support Davy in a way that causes a ripple in the community to pay it forward and know no boundaries or limitations-- even when it looks like the odds are against you!
We ask that you keep in mind any sized donation makes a great impact. There is no minimum and there is no maximum. If you are compelled to give to Davy, it is greatly appreciated and viewed as a tremendous gift each step of the way. Thank you for stopping by... and if you cannot do anything else today, we ask that you share our link and spread Davys story! :)
