Hello. My name is Gabriel Hristianovici and I am raising money for one of our twins, Dumitru. They were born prematurely at 29 weeks, through emergency C-section, at St.Thomas Hospital in London, Dumitru weighing less than 2 lb( 900 grams).
It all happened because a very rare syndrome called TAPS which occurs only a few times in one million pregnancies. In addition to this, while still in mom's belly, he got a stroke . His left side of the brain got injured, which led to cerebral palsy , affecting the right side of his body from top to bottom.
Everything started when Mom was about 4 months pregnant. Because things were not looking good, mom had to undergo a laser ablation of her placenta on the 26th week of pregnancy and because things got worse babies had to be delivered soon after.
After 2 months in hospital we finally took them home.
Now they are 2 years and 5 months old and Dumitru is very behind on his development comparing with his twin brother Filip.
He can't talk, can`t walk, can't crawl using hands-and-knees yet , but Vojta therapy helped him a lot.
In August 2020 he could not move at all If you put him on his belly, nor roll on the floor.
Through a lot of work he got to crawling only with his hands , but still not using his feet. He also started to comunicate through sounds with his twin brother who now pays more attention to him and comes around for playing, since Dumitru started moving around.
We want to raise this money as a help for Dumitru since the Galileo Vibration Plate that he needs during his home Vojta therapy sessions costs £ 5605.
In addition to this , we have to do sessions of private physiotherapy, ocupational therapy, speech therapy and also see the cranial-osteopath twice a month , all this costing about an extra £ 1200 per month.
The amount that we want to raise will help us pay for the vibrating plate and also for the next 2 years of physiotherapy which are very important for Dumitru’s development.
We also have to buy and build a special system of swings and equipment that we need for his recovery.
We are asking for your help because only Mom works and i have to stay home to look after the twins and also do 3 times a day at certain hours physiotherapy with Dumitru. I resigned from my job because the boys needed a parent to be with them permanently and mum was earning more than me.
At the moment his right hand and right leg are very stiff, but with the help of the therapy we are seeing good progress.
Because of the rarity of the syndrome, British newspaper Metro contacted us and wrote an article to bring awareness about TAPS which has been discovered only 16 years ago . The link with the article you will find it lower after the bank details .

TAPS is an uncommon condition that occurs in identical twins. It results in one twin becoming very anaemic (low blood level), and the other polycythaemic (high blood level).
This can occur either on its own, or after laser treatment for TTTS. ( Twin To Twin Transfusion).So far, the best way to treat this condition is still not established, and research is currently underway in order to find this answer.
Due to the rarity of the condition, most research is limited to very small numbers. An international registry has therefore been created that have collected all the cases of TAPS around the world and the outcomes from different methods of treatment established from much larger numbers.

Bună. Numele meu este Gabriel Hristianovici, originar din Barlad, dar stabilit in Londra de 6 ani și strâng bani pentru Dumitru, unul din băieții nostri gemeni, care s-au născut la 29 de săptămâni, prin cezariana de urgență la spitalul St. Thomas din Londra, având o greutate de 900 de grame la naștere.
Totul s-a întâmplat din cauza unui sindrom foarte rar numit T.A.P.S. copiii find gemeni monocorionici cu o placenta si 2 saci amniotici, asemenea sarcina aparand în doar câteva cazuri la un milion de nașteri. (Datorită rarității cazului am apărut in ziarele din UK si România. Linkul îl aveți mai jos) .
In timp ce era în burta mamei, Dumitru a suferit și un atac cerebral, creierul fiind afectat pe partea stângă, ceea ce a dus la semipareza pe partea dreapta a corpului,
Totul a început când mama era însărcinată în 4 luni și pentru că analizele nu erau bune, a trebuit să facă o operație cu laser la placenta in săptămâna 26 a sarcinii. Deoarece nu s-au înregistrat îmbunătățiri , a fost operata de urgenta și a născut prin cezariană pentru a nu pierde ambii copii. Apoi am rămas 2 luni in spital până la externare.
Acum băieții au 2 an și 5 luni , iar Dumitru este foarte in urma comparativ cu Filip. Nu poate merge si se taraste pe coate. Ca sa ajungem aici( stătea nemișcat când era pus pe burta) am făcut încă din August 2020 terapie Vojta care l-a ajutat sa se miste de pe loc și să înceapă să comunice prin sunetele cu fratele lui care îi acordă acum mai multă atenție și vine sa se joace cu el.
Vrem sa strângem suma aceasta deoarece avem nevoie de un aparat produs in Germania care costa 5605 lire sterline ( Galileo S35 Vibration Plate) care il ajuta sa-si intareasca musculatura.
La suma aceasta se adauga si fizioterapia privata , terapia ocupationala, logopedie, vizitele la cranio-osteopat ce inseamna inca 1200 de lire sterline in plus pe luna. De asemenea trebuie sa cumpăram și să-i construim un sistem special de leagăne care să-l ajute la recuperare.
Banii pe care intentionam sa-i strangem, ne-ar permite sa cumparam cele de mai sus si sa avem pentru terapia privata pentru urmatorii doi ani foarte importanti in recuperarea lui.

Vă cerem ajutorul deoarece doar mama muncește și e foarte greu sa ne descurcam. Eu mi-am dat demisia pentru ca era nevoie ca un părinte sa stea cu ei permanent . Mama având un salariu mai mare , am luat impreuna decizia ca eu sa stau acasa cu ei. Pe lângă fizioterapia privată , eu am
facut un training si îl ajut cu anumite exerciții de 3 ori pe zi la anumite intervale de timp.

T.A.P.S e condiție rara ce apare la gemenii identici, când are loc un transfer de sânge de la un copil la celălalt , punând în pericol viața amândurora in timpul sarcinii și având multe riscuri după naștere.
