Hello, my name is Ladonna and I'm about to have a heart procedure that will take me off my feet for a bit. Laying in the bed next to me is my wife Jacqueline. Earlier this month, she had a life-changing surgery that was 5 years in the making. When Jacqueline came out as trans 5 years ago, she began living her life as her true self. Since we lived in middle America, we decided for safety and health reasons to relocate to the East Coast for her transition. She got on the waiting list for gender reassignment surgery. with this new administration making things more difficult for trans Americans she was worried about waiting too long for a date. Then there was a cancellation, and she was able to get in earlier. Because she had been waiting years for this opportunity, we jumped at the date. Earlier this month, she successfully had gender reassignment surgery. She has been recovering at home since and is unable to lift more than 5 lbs and is on limited mobility. It has been a long and painful road but she says she finally feels 'whole'. Needless to say, she is unable to work for the time being. she was told 6 weeks before returning to work. As an independent contractor, she does not have any income coming in of any kind at the moment. I have been working full-time and caring for her along with taking a few side jobs, but the bills have started to stack up. With my procedure coming up and her still healing things are kinda serious for us. We are behind on hospital bills kng with every household bill and costs. We are reaching out to anyone that can give even a little to help us get back on our feet. If you are unable to give then we please ask that you share her story in hopes that we may be able to raise enough money to not have to relocate back to Missouri or become homeless. Thank you and may peace be with you❤️
