I am writing this on behalf of my friend of 20 years, Darren Puls. He is a self-employed painter who takes pride in his craft.
Darren is the type of guy who wants a simple, honest life. If it were up to him, he’d spend every day working hard, then head home to catch the game or spend a weekend at a car show. He isn’t one to ask for a handout—in fact, he’s spent his life being the one people can count on.
Unfortunately, Darren is facing cancer for the second time, and he is about to begin chemotherapy. While he is also dealing the challenges of congestive heart failure, it is the intensive cancer treatment that will prevent him from doing what he loves most: working.
Because Darren is self-employed, if he isn't painting, there is no income. His first battle with cancer completely depleted his savings, and now, facing a second round, he is in a position no one wants to be in. He needs your help to keep his head above water while he focuses on his health.
We want Darren to be able to focus entirely on his treatment and recovery without worrying about his finances. Our goal is to raise funds to cover:
• Monthly living expenses while he is unable to work.
• Medical co-pays and costs not covered by insurance.
• Basic needs so he can eventually get back to his routine of sports, cars, and community.
Even if you cannot donate, please consider sharing this page with your network and keeping Darren in your prayers. He has a long road ahead, but with his church family and friends behind him, he doesn't have to walk it alone.
Thank you for your kindness, your prayers, and your generosity.
