Who We Are?
We are BlinkSigns, BlinkSwag + BlinkGlobal, we have many family members, friends, and colleagues who are in India being impacted by this devastating pandemic. We want to send as much relief to them as we can in a speedy manner.
The country of India is experiencing a devastating wave of Covid-19. The numbers of cases and deaths continue to rise each and every day. As of yesterday, May 9, daily cases were up to 311,170. We need to come together to help bring some much-needed relief through the purchase of Oxygen Concentrators. Hospitals have run out of basic medical supplies and many patients are dying from oxygen shortages.
What is an Oxygen Concentrator?
It is a medical device that assists people who have a low level of oxygen in their blood. An oxygen concentrator receives air, purifies it, and then distributes the newly formed air. An oxygen concentrator uses that air then it comes out as 90 to 95 percent pure oxygen and 5 to 10 percent nitrogen. The nitrogen is separated to give the patient the highest dose of oxygen possible, as it is difficult to get that percentage of oxygen without the help of a medical device.
The Oxygen Concentrator Units
We have connected with a factory (JIANGSU JUMAO X-CARE MEDICAL EQUIPMENT CO., LTD) in China in the city of Xiamen, that will manufacture an FDA-approved device with a very quick turnaround time. The units will then be sent via air directly to India. We will need to raise funds to cover the cost of the units, as well as the cost to airship to India. Currently, we have raised enough funds to send appx. 50 units. Our goal is to try to send as many units as we can at a cost of $545.00 per unit. The factory has committed to manufacturing up to 500 units on our behalf. The model being purchased is a 5L unit. We hope to have the funds secured by May 21st.
Why should I donate?
India has been a good global ally, sharing vaccines and other medications to the rest of the world during the hard times that Covid-19 has presented to all. With the United States working to open up and with more and more people getting vaccinated, let’s put our best efforts forward and help bring some relief to our friends in India. This is a terrible situation that needs to be addressed as soon as possible to help as many people as we can.
Any donation would be greatly appreciated and put to great use towards the purchase of the Oxygen Units. We have many family and friends who are in India and experiencing this first hand. As we purchase units and send them off, we will be updating everyone via our GoFundMe page.
