I’ve overcome a lot more than I ever thought I could. I didn’t think I’d make it out of my parents’ houses—but I did. I didn’t think I’d graduate high school—but I did that, early, too. I’ve fought hard to build a life for myself, and while I’ve had some help along the way, right now I need a little more.
I left home at 16 and have been completely on my own ever since. My parents are unable to support me, and while I’ve been fortunate to have kind people help me get this far, that support can’t last forever. I’m currently working two jobs and staying with a friend while trying to save up and eventually move into a place of my own—but without reliable transportation, it’s almost impossible to stay afloat.
I’m planning to join the Air Force, and I hope to go to college first. But right now, I need help paying for my car so I can keep working and moving forward. I don’t have a village behind me—but I’m doing everything I can to build my future. If you're willing to help a stranger who's trying their best to make it, I’d be incredibly grateful.
