Marsha Malamet- She Needs Our Help!

My dear, talented friend Marsha Malamet needs our help,

It's been 7 years since her Parkinson's diagnosis, this picture was taken right before she found out.   Now Marsha's illness has progressed to the point where she is struggling for her basic independence.   Every few months she seems to get a little worse.  

Her hands don't work.  She has a hard time walking now.  Her speech is impaired and labored.  She's all in all finding it hard to live a quality life, however, she is still optimistic about slowing down the progression by working with talented doctors.   Your help will be greatly appreciated for things like food, caregivers, rent, and medical expenses.  

You know, she's a very spiritual person.  And her spirit is indomitable.  You don't hear a peep of self-pity or whining or 'woe-is-me'.  That's the Marsha Malamet I know.  And those who know her concur with me.

Many of you know Marsha is a Grammy nominated, multi-platinum songwriter that has recorded and written songs for many of the world's greatest artists.  For a few glorious months last year, even though she'd been extremely limited, her spirit compelled her to work on a new music project with the brilliant Stephan Oberhoff, entitled, “Marsha and the Girls: The Marsha Malamet Songbook.”

Many of her peers joyously contributed their performances.  These supremely gifted, generous and loving souls include Melissa Manchester, Marieann Meringolo, and many others.

She had to stop recording due to finances and lack of the necessary strength, but was able to get a few songs cut really beautifully.  Check out a sneak peak below.

With some luck, and if you're onboard, we can make Marsha's path much better - and maybe even help her in seeing this dream project through, who knows?
