wesley’s top surgery fund
Donation protected
hello there!
for those who don’t know me personally, my name is wesley hughes and i’m a nineteen year old trans student from louisville, kentucky. this fundraiser is still under construction but since the date has been set, i have a little under a month to raise the money for my gender affirming surgery. after years of planning, talking with professionals and dealing with the rather intense mental and physical labor of binding, i have finally been scheduled to have my operation in January!
i’m extraordinarily lucky to have a supportive parent who is willing to advocate for me fully in this decision, but she actively juggles single motherhood, taking care of my young sister and putting the two of us both through college all the while. making ends meet regularly is challenging, much less with the looming surgery bill. even though my journey of socially transitioning has been mending, my dysphoria is still very wounding. this operation is hugely essential for my mental and emotional wellbeing, as well as repairing the damage that comes with being born into a body i find no harmony with.
donations of absolutely any size are so greatly appreciated, as well as any sharing or support for this fundraiser! for my friends, family and any donators who are helping me walk this path: thank you so, so much for being here for me through this part of my transition. your unyielding kindness and compassion will never go unnoticed. it is worth so much more than i could ever ask for.
much love, wesley. <3
