The Austin Fire Department says the early Tuesday morning fire at Lauren's apartment complex heavily damaged one building, with 24 units suffering either fire or fire-control damage.
There were no reported injuries, but about 30 residents (including Lauren) have been displaced by the fire. The Red Cross and apartment complex management are helping those without homes, the department said.
Lauren lost everything. The apartment was destroyed and due to its condition, she is not even allowed back into the building.
