This is my niece, Shania Silvera, a bright and determined young woman with an unwavering passion for nursing. In the photo above, she proudly holds the trophies she earned during her high school graduation. The center trophy signifies her achievement as the Top Girl in her school, a testament to her hard work and dedication. Shania was also recognized as an Honor Student, as depicted by the gold stole she’s wearing, symbolizing her outstanding academic performance.
Despite her achievements and determination, Shania now faces an unexpected challenge. She has been accepted to Bucks County Community College to pursue an Associate degree in Nursing, the first critical step in her journey to becoming a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA).
Unfortunately, Shania’s scholarship was rescinded due to a misunderstanding. The organization awarded her the scholarship based on the belief that she was pursuing a bachelor’s degree directly. However, her college requires her to first complete her associate degree and then transfer to a partnering four-year university to complete her bachelor’s degree.
Shania’s family, including myself, has come together to support her as much as possible, covering housing and other expenses. However, we are unable to meet the full cost of her tuition and fees, which amounts to $13,373 per year. For her entire two-year program, the total tuition will be $26,746.
We are humbly asking for your support to help Shania continue her education and achieve her dreams. Her dedication, hard work, and resilience have brought her this far, and your generosity and support can help her move even closer to a brighter future ahead. Below are pictures to support her story. Thank you all in advance for your kindness and assistance!
