Life happens: While thousands of miles away from home, the most important person I’ve come to know throughout my college experience received the news that her father died unexpectedly.
Clarification: she IS on her way home for the services for her father, but with the slight change of plans we can help her return to Israel afterward so she can accomplish her goal of the two month long internship that starts June 10th, 2015 in Tel Aviv, Israel. Her hard work and dedication shall NOT go to waste.
Family always comes first; therefore sending herself back to Cleveland, Ohio to be with her family during this incredibly hard time is the only practical option . She has been traveling a bit before her Internship which starts in just a few short weeks which she deserves to get back to.
However, it’s not so simple to scrape up enough money for such unexpected fees while being financially limited to return for her Journey. The amount of time Sydney has spent toward planning and organizing along with the mental stamina she has cultivated while being a full time student and a Residential Assistant at Ohio University shows that she deserves the internship she has earned.
As a best friend of the most dedicated, selfless, compassionate, hardworking, strong-willed individual I know (who only happens to be 21 years old) surely speaks volumes as to why any amount of money can stich together such a wonderful gift for such a wonderful person.
